For the people in a child’s corner: clinicians, educators, and everyone kids count on.
A referral pathway that treats you like the professional you are, and the PD your team keeps asking for.
Referrals, research, and a program for practitioners who work with kids.
PD for mealtimes, regulation and the kids who do food differently.
We know what a referral costs you. You’re handing over a family who trusts you, and your name travels with them.
So, we keep you in the loop, we stay firmly in our lane, and the family comes back to you better supported than we found them. The nutrition and feeding piece, slotted into the team already around the child, not a second empire built beside yours.
One practical difference worth knowing is that every clinical nutritionist at Juni is also a trained feeding therapist. The child gets the nutrition science and the feeding work from the same person, in the same session, with no second referral, no second intake, and no second stranger to warm up to.
The full case for referring, including how we communicate and where our scope starts and stops, lives on one page:
A mentoring and CPD program for practitioners who want to get better at working with kids: reading regulation, winning trust, running appointments children actually want to come back to. Cohorts are taking shape now.
One email a quarter, starting with the next one. Research worth your time, composite cases worth thinking about, nothing you’ll need to unsubscribe from in a huff.
And if you’d rather sound out a referral before you make it, a virtual coffee is always on the table. We love talking to other people who work with kids. A little obsessed with the whole village thing, frankly.
You don’t have to figure it out alone.
Have you joined our private Facebook group? This is a multi-disciplinary group is for all the paediatric nutritionists, dietitians, OTs, speech pathologists, psychologists, and feeding therapists doing good work. It’s where you ask the question you can’t Google, find someone to refer to in your area, and realise the complicated case on your desk is one other people are thinking hard about too.
There will also be regular virtual coffee catch-ups to connect with other practitioners and debrief on all aspects of paediatric work (in a confidential way, of course). Open to the whole community across disciplines. We can’t wait to see you there!
You’ve already met these kids. The one whose safe foods you could list from memory. The one who comes apart every mealtime, ten minutes in. The one who’d rather be a dinosaur than go anywhere near morning tea.
You don’t need convincing that food is about more than food. You’ve watched it. What you need is what to do at 10:15 tomorrow, with eleven other kids watching.
That’s the PD we run. Built by clinicians who sit with these exact kids every week, backed by evidence (if we recommend it, we can back it up), and respectful of the child at every step. No compliance tricks, no sticker-chart theatre, nothing that asks a child to perform for their morning tea.
One-hour workshop or webinar. One topic, your whole team, no travel. The easy yes.
Half-day in-service. A topic plus case-based discussion, for the director investing in their team.
Custom workshop. Built around your setting, your menu, your actual kids.
Annual PD package. Quarterly sessions, one standing arrangement, one less thing to organise.
Parent webinars and workshops. Not just for your staff. Hosted by your service, for your families: the questions parents ask at pickup, answered properly, with your educators in the room too if you like.
Topics we cover (and if yours isn’t here, ask):
Want ideas between sessions? The educator newsletter is short, practical, and written for your room, not a clinic.
Whichever door you came through, every path on this page ends at the same place: a kid who’s better understood at the table, safer in your room, and surrounded by grown-ups who actually talk to each other.
That’s the whole plan. That’s always been the whole plan.
It takes a village. Hello, village.

Juni works with families on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land right across this country. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we live and where the children we care for are growing up, whose deep knowledge of health, healing, food, and community continues to inspire and guide us. We extend this respect to all the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of this beautiful country we are blessed to call home.
